With Pick List for WooCommerce, you can store and manage product barcodes using the Global Unique ID field. This allows you to scan and save barcodes directly in the product edit page.
1️⃣ Enable Global Unique ID for Barcodes
- Go to WooCommerce → Products and edit a product.
- Find the Add Barcodes (Pick List) meta box in the product edit page.
💡 If this section is not visible, click Screen Options (top right) and check “Add Barcodes (Pick List)”.
2️⃣ Scan and Save a Barcode
- Click the Scanner Focus button (with the scanner icon) to activate the barcode field.
- Scan the barcode using a barcode scanner—it will be stored in the Global Unique ID field automatically.
📌 For variable products, missing barcodes are listed below the button. Click the edit icon to open the variation and scan its barcode.
3️⃣ Use Global Unique ID for Pick List Barcodes
Once barcodes are stored, you can configure the Global Unique ID as the primary barcode field:
- Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Pick List → Barcode Integration.
- In Select product field for barcode, choose Global Unique ID.
- Save changes.
Now, Pick List for WooCommerce will recognize and use the Global Unique ID for barcode scanning during order fulfillment!
This makes barcode management easier by allowing you to scan and use pre-assigned barcodes instead of generating new ones.
